Reducing Print and Internal Mail Distribution Costs!
Did you know that the University distributes over 200,000 publications from offices internally through BC’s Campus Mail each year?
Moving these copies of publications to email will not only save on print costs but will reduce the burden of sorting and distribution from Campus Mail Services. In addition, the information will go directly to the intended audience, and can be delivered at a particular date and time, if you so desire.
Your final file returned from the printer can be converted to an HTML document. The Production Services division of Information Technology Services can help you transfer from labels to email lists.
To send a publication via email, the email request is sent to "firstname.lastname@example.org". The request will include the distribution list and the content, and the applicable date and time for delivery. Information Technology will work with you to test the content first (including emailing to the requester if you ask to see it in advance) before the real email.

IKON Contract for Copiers
In an effort to better service Boston College IKON has implemented an online service call system.
This gives you three ways to place a service call.
1. Call and speak to an operator - 1-888-456-6457
2. Use the voicemail system
3. Submit an online request for service
Once you enter your contact information from your computer the system will save it. This will save you some typing the next time you have to place a call. Please click on the hyperlink below and open the service page, then add it as a favorite so you will have it available if you need it. Chestnut Hill Post Office
As of August 1, 2011, the Chestnut Hill Post Office will no longer accept permitted mail.
The McMullen Museum of Art recently used the BC XPEDX paper contract for the Museum Expedition Catalog to save 58% of their paper cost by switching their paper to a comparable stock.
