The NEW Room and Event Scheduling System from Ungerboeck Int'l

NEW ROOM AND EVENT SCHEDULING SYSTEM

The University, BC Dining and the Bureau of Conferences are proud to announce the acquisition of a new scheduling and event management system. This system is called EBMS and comes from a leader in scheduling and event management software, Ungerboeck Systems International. Features of the new system include:

  • On-Line room calendars to view space availability
  • On-Line booking to generate space reservation requests
  • On-Line menus of meal packages and services
  • A communications package to generate e-mail confirmations of requests, change orders and event status
  • A billing package to generate timely quotes and invoices
  • An ongoing database to maintain customer profiles and event history
  • The ability to link to other university calendars and databases

We are currently in the process of installing and developing this exciting new system for use in the 2008-2009 academic year. The anticipated roll-out of the new system is:

  • September ’08 - First 15-20 rooms available for viewing and reservation requests
  • November ’08 - All event space available for viewing and reservation requests
  • February ’09 - Menus of goods and services available for viewing
  • March ’09 - Goods and services available for on-line ordering
