Standing Committees

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Chair Members:
(composed of all the offices of the BFSAA) serves as the decision making body on behalf of the organization; sets the agenda for the monthly meetings; represents the organization at meetings with all key university administrators.  Prior to dissemination review all materials presented for distribution to the public.


COMMUNICATIONS/TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Purpose: Maintains the organization's web page, produces and circulates a membership brochure, produces a newsletter, identifies and supports training initiatives for and with the Division of Information Technology.


PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE

Purpose: Plans and implements BFSAA events and/or activities.


BUDGET COMMITTEE

Chairperson:

Senior Human Resources Officer, Human Resources

Purpose: Maintains the organization's budget, assists the treasure and researches funding options.  (Treasurer serves as chair of this committee and one co-chair also serves on this committee)


AWARDS COMMITTEE

Purpose: Develops the criteria for awards given by the organization.  Coordinates the nomination and selection process of the recipients and makes recommendations to the body for the inclusion of additional awards, etc. (committee established in 2005)
