Golden Eagles Dance Team

boston college bands: "screaming eagles" marching band

The Golden Eagles Dance Team, along with the Color Guard, delivers a high-energy visual impact on Game Day! As part of the “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band, the Golden Eagles perform in parades, pep rallies, halftime shows, and on the sidelines at home football games. During the spring semester, the Team dances at many home athletic events as well as Boston College’s Arts Festival. The Golden Eagles have traveled from Los Angeles to Louisiana to Montreal, and have performed with the Dropkick Murphys, Macklemore, and in the 2012 Presidential Inaugural Parade.

The Team rehearses every Tuesday and Thursday (6:45-10:00pm), September through November. Members must participate in all home football games and predetermined Marching Band functions, with the potential opportunity to travel to away and post-season events.

Auditions for the Golden Eagles Dance Team are conducted on a rolling basis. Prospective dancers may submit a previously recorded video, or learn and record choreography as provided by the GEDT. Dancers will be expected to show a mastery of technique in a variety of disciplines, including jazz, kick, and lyrical, as well as high-energy performance skills.
