University Core Systems Project
The University Core Systems (UCS) Task Force has been charged with developing recommendations for an overall approach and for establishing priorities for replacing BC's student information systems with applications that are state-of-the-art and student centered.
Systems like Admission, Advising, Dining Services, Records/Registration, and Residential Life affect students and touch many other areas of the University. These Core Systems are 30 years old and costly to operate and maintain. They also function under pressure because of increased demands, requests for changes, and the need to improve the security of confidential data.
The Task Force will approach the new systems implementation slowly and after a careful review of what is happening in other colleges and universities, as well as what is available in the marketplace.
