Application Instructions for Boston College Faculty

Boston College Humanities and Social Sciences faculty wishing to apply to teach at VIU must submit the following documents to the Office of the Vice-Provost for Faculty:

1. An application form, signed by the department chair.
2. Three course proposals (the Academic Council of VIU will select two of those) containing the following information:
   1. a description of approximately 500 words;
   2. teaching and evaluation methods;
   3. bibliography - all reading materials should be in English;
   4. required preliminary knowledge (if any).
3. A brief Curriculum Vitae, (maximum three pages: up to four pages of publications may be attached separately).

Applications will be reviewed by the University Council on Teaching and faculty will be notified by the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty.

Selected applications will be forwarded to the VIU Academic Council for final approval. Following approval by the Academic Council, faculty will be notified.
