PartnersThe Connors Family Learning Center, located in the O'Neill Library, provides tutoring and other educational services for students, and support for graduate fellows and the faculty in their teaching. Instructional Design and eTeaching Services staff members offer seminars in the Center on a regular basis, and collaborate with its staff to provide eTeaching events and other opportunities for instructors. The Faculty Microcomputer Resource Center (FMRC), located in Gasson 10, is a support facility run by faculty for faculty under the Office of the Academic Vice President and directed by three moderators who are also full-time faculty members. The moderators serve as advisors to the Instructional Design and eTeaching Services staff in administering the GWA program and in outreach to the faculty, and staff members occasionally provide assistance in the FMRC. Boston College Libraries complement their fine collections of printed material with electronic ones, through their growing Digital Library and access to external databases, e-journals and e-books. Instructional Design and eTeaching Services staff members work closely with library subject specialists to help the faculty make use of these resources in special projects and general teaching. There is also frequent collaboration with the O'Neill Media Center, for the development of customized digital resources for instructors. Media Technology Services (MTS) provide the Boston College community with a full range of audiovisual support, in the classroom and through multimedia production. Many of the faculty projects managed by Instructional Design and eTeaching Services are undertaken with help from MTS specialists, in areas as diverse as graphics, web design, photography, and digital audio and video recording. ETeaching events such as workshops on commonly used programs are frequently given jointly by MTS and Instructional Design and eTeaching Services staff members.
