boston college arts council

The Boston College Arts Council and the BC Alumni Association invite you to attend the Alumni Evening at the Arts Festival, Saturday, April 30, 2005.

The arts programs at Boston College have continued to grow and flourish. This event gives alumni an opportunity to experience the increasing diversity, scope, and quality of the arts programs at Boston College as well as to reconnect with the university and each other.

The alumni event will include a cocktail reception and dinner buffet with cash bar, where the Arts Council will present its annual alumni award to Photographer, James Balog '74, (formerly presented in 2004 to Singer/Songwriter Ellis Paul-- Paul Plissey '87, and in 2003 to actor Chris O'Donnell '92).

For the main event, alumni may choose between a concert by Voices of Imani Gospel Choir, which will feature alumni singers OR a theater performance of Candide, with music by Leonard Bernstein, book adapted from Voltaire by Hugh Wheeler, lyrics by Richard Wilbur, John Latouche, and Stephen Sondheim; directed by Stuart J. Hecht, presented by the University Theater. In addition, Alumni Award recipient James Balog’s photography exhibition, Tree: A New Vision of the American Forest, will be on display at the McMullen Museum, and a Mass for the Arts will be available for interested alumni.
