Every year, the Boston College Arts Festival brings the Boston College and surrounding communities together to celebrate the arts. The 16th annual Arts Festival committee invites the community to experience the variety of arts at Boston College firsthand. A talented group of more than 1,000 student and faculty artists will present music, theater, dance, poetry, film, painting, sculpture, and more. Enjoy some music, buy some art, try your hand at ceramics, listen to readings, enjoy a play…there’s so much to experience at the BC Arts Festival!
We are currently receiving nominations for Arts Alumni and Faculty Awards, which will be presented at the Arts Award Ceremony on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 4:00pm in the Stokes Art Tent. If you are BC staff, faculty, or alumni, find out how to nominate your peers for an award here.
Last year, Robert Polito ('73) received the Arts Alumni Award in recognition for his accomplishments in scholarship and poetry. Fine Arts Associate Professor Sheila Gallagher was the recipient of the Arts Faculty Award. We are excited to honor members of the BC community once again in 2014, and look forward to receiving more nominations.
The reception is free and open to the public. Registration for attendance will open in early April. If you have any questions regarding the event, please contact Eva Maynard '97 at 617-552-4757.
Faculty, staff, and alumni, nominate your peers for an Arts Award. Simply fill in the nomination form by Friday, October 18.
