The program is designed to assist up to 30 first and second year AHANA male students, an opportunity to engage in the college experience and develop leadership skills that will allow them to flourish academically, socially, individually, and professionally.
Some of the highlights of the program consist of; interactive workshops, an academic contract, mentoring, guest speakers, community service, and a closing ceremony. The workshops are held on selected Thursdays from 5:00-7:30pm and focus on topics such as Leadership Principles, Public Speaking, Team building, Budgeting, Career Preparation, and Campus Safety to name a few.

Attention: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students

about issues of Race and Ethnicity?
• Want to learn the tools to bridge the racial divide?
If so, don’t be shy...Open the DOR!
The Office of AHANA Student Programs in collaboration with the Office for Institutional Diversity, FACES, and Residential Life, invite you to participate in a program, during the 2008-2009 academic year, to help promote conversations about race.
Student facilitators will lead a group of interested students in a weekly two-hour dialogue dealing with issues of race. These group sessions will meet for 6 consecutive weeks.
