The Alcohol and Drug Education Program utilizes a comprehensive approach to addressing alcohol and other drug-related problems at Boston College and in the surrounding community. We encourage the university community to join with us through task forces and coalitions to employ multiple strategies, including:
- providing education
- changing the normative environment
- promoting alcohol-free social options
- reducing alcohol availability
- developing alcohol policies and increasing the consistency of enforcement
- reducing the marketing of alcohol
- conducting early intervention
- providing treatment
