| Do you want to meet professors out of the classroom? Would you like the opportunity to talk informally with them and other advisors in Boston College about common interests and your own plans and ambitions, whether academic, personal or professional? Do you like pastries? Throughout the coming academic year the Academic Advising Center will be co-hosting with the academic departments and other advising resources at BC a series of events open to all students and intended to give them the opportunity to meet and talk informally with faculty drawn from a range of academic disciplines. Each event will be arranged around a broad theme, such as the Life Sciences and the Health Professions, the Study of the Humanities and Preparing for the Law, Living Ethically and Contributing Socially, Studying, Working, and Living Abroad, and should prove particularly helpful to students trying to decide upon their future classes or majors and minors or to find out more about potential careers and volunteer positions. Every student is, however, most cordially invited to drop in at any or all of these events, even if it is only to enjoy good food and good conversation with teachers and classmates. |
