Off-Campus Life

The Office of the Dean for Student Development collaborates with the Office of Residential Life to provide a range of services to students living in the off-campus community. ODSD staff are charged with maintaining a community that is aligned with the Jesuit ideals and, to that end, coordinate the resolution of cases in which students have violated a University policy and/or state law (see Community Standards). In addition to holding students accountable for behavior, ODSD works to advocate for students living off campus. Students with questions or concerns about off-campus living (e.g., tenant rights, landlord issues) can email their questions to offcampushelp@bc.edu. All questions will be reviewed by ODSD staff and routed to the appropriate on-campus department for a timely response. Additionally, ODSD publishes the BC Off-Campus Newsletter four times a year to update students on campus events and community news. ODSD staff also advise the Off-Campus Student Council that provides a student voice to the issues of policy enforcement, neighbor relations, and community building.
