boston college law school
The Boston College Law School Alumni Association was formed to further the ideals and tradition of Boston College Law School through the education and involvement of alumni in the BC Law community. In addition, the Association strives to promote the tradition of service to others through the involvement of alumni, students, and faculty in pro bono service programs.
Reorganized in 2008, the new Alumni Board is headed by Denis Cohen, and includes a diverse and dynamic group of alumni from across the country. Board members serve three-year terms and were chosen for their experience and talent in specific core duties. They manage the basic functions of alumni relations in partnership with the Law School, lead the effort in one of the functional or structural areas of the board, identify and recruit members to the committees they head, and establish goals and a plan to achieve them. The 10 committees on the Board are: Student Programs, Admissions, Annual Giving, Career Services, Advocacy Programs, Reunion and Classes, and Affinity Groups.
Future Boards will be elected by the Assembly, a group of nearly a thousand alumni volunteers, students and Law School community leaders. They will meet once a year over Reunion weekend to discuss their work, developments at the Law School, and to vote on a new slate of board nominees.
