Waging Peace's Darfur Children's Drawings Exhibit

The Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, The Center for Human Rights and International Justice, and the Center for the Arts and Social Responsibility are sponsoring Waging Peace's traveling exhibition of drawings created by refugee children from Darfur.

$3.5 million Grant to empower the elderly and people with disabilities

Boston College has been awarded a $3.5 million grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies to assist GSSW faculty Kevin Mahoney in the establishment of a technical assistance center for consumer direction.   more »

Professor Berzin receives award for best article in "Social Service Review"

GSSW Assistant Professor Stephanie Berzin, Chair of the CYF concentration, has been selected to receive the prestigious 2009 Frank R. Breul Memorial Prize. The prize is awarded annually to the best article published in Social Service Review.

Cash & Counseling program receives $4.75 million Grant

Cash & Counseling, a health care choice program for the elderly and people with disabilities, headed by GSSW professor Kevin Mahoney, has been awarded a $4.75 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The grant will provide funding for research and the establishment of a technical assistance center for C&C as it continues to expand its national profile. See BC Chronicle for full story.
