TM 791 Spirituality and Justice: Twentieth Century Writings (Spring: 3)
This course will survey spiritual writings from the twentieth century, examining
the generative themes that are suggestive for our time and foundational
in the construction of a contemporary spirituality. Authors will include
Thomas Merton, Evelyn Underhill, Teilhard de Chardin, Dorothy Day, Annie
Dillard, Johannes Baptist Metz, and Martin Buber. The course is taught with
an eye toward leadership in spiritual formation.
