PS 382 Neurobiology of Stress (Fall/Spring: 3)
Prerequisite:
PS 285
The course provides an overview of the neurobiological mechanisms underlying
the stress response from the cellular to the systems level. It explains
the effects of stress on neuronal plasticity, learning and memory, mental
health, and the immune system. Emphasis is also on the long-term consequences
of early life stress on cognitive, emotional and social behaviors. Current
