PS 120 Introduction to Behavioral Statistics and Research I (Fall: 3)

This course is the first in a two-semester sequence surveying research methodologies
and statistical procedures used in psychological research. In the first
semester, the emphasis is on statistics. Students will be introduced to
the most common topics and procedures in descriptive and inferential data
analysis such as averages, measures of variability, shapes of distributions,
probability, sampling distributions, hypothesis testing, effect size, statistical
power, correlation and regression, t-tests, and analysis of variance.
