MF 808 Financial Policy (Fall/Spring/Summer: 3)

Prerequisite: MF 801 and MF 807
M.S. in Finance students can take Policy if they have completed 4 or more M.S. in Finance Core courses; M.B.A. students must have completed Investments and Corporate Finance in order to take Financial Policy; M.B.A./M.S. in Finance students follow the same policy as M.S. in Finance students; At the successful completion of the semester in question, the student will have completed 60% of the M.S. in Finance program.
This course applies financial theories, techniques, and models to the study of corporate financial decisions. Aspects of corporate strategy, industry structure, and the functioning of capital markets are also addressed. Students are required to study an actual firm from the perspective of concepts and models developed in the course and present the study to the class.
