EN 615.01 Advanced Fiction Writing (Spring 2009-2010: 3)
ADMISSION BY PERMISSION OF THE INSTRUCTOR ONLY. This course is open to sophmores,
juniors and seniors (not freshmen), who will be selected on the basis of
manuscript submission, with submissions due no later than 4pm on Friday,
November 6th (pre-registration begins on 11/13). Please email Prof. Graver
(graver@bc.edu) the following materials by November 6th at 4pm:A cover
sheet in which 1) your name 2) your email address and phone number, 3)
your year at BC, and 4) the titles and dates of any other writing workshops(in
any genre) you have taken in college.--up to 7 double-spaced pages of
your very best creative writing. Ideally, the writing sample will be fiction,
but if your strongest writing is in poetry, drama, or creative non-fiction,
that is also acceptable. Fragments are fine; just indicate at the top that
you are submitting a piece of a larger work. Please make sure that your
pages are numbered and your full name is at the top of every page.
