BI 426 Human Anatomy (Fall: 4)
Prerequisite:
BI200
Corequisite:
BI427 (Human Anatomy Lab)
In this course, students will explore and compare the form and function
of representative members of the five vertebrate classes. Evolutionary similarities
and differences in form and function will be investigated, as will both
the selective pressures, and non-selective constraints that have contributed
to vertebrate structure. The course will conceptually integrate vertebrate
anatomy with developmental biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology, and
will provide skills valuable to careers in a range of biological disciplines,
including molecular cell biology, medicine, evolutionary biology, and ecology.
