The following motion was recommended to the Dean on Feb. 28, 2005 by the full EPC and formally approved by the Dean on March 10, 2005.

It is moved that ED 380 (Implications of Vision and Hearing Impairments) be replaced with ED 5XX (Educational Implications of Sensory, Motor, and Health Impairments).

Course Description:
ED5XX: Education Implications of Sensory, Motor, and Health Impairments
This course focuses on the education implications of various sensory and physical disabilities and health impairments. The course is based on the foundational belief that students with severe and multiple disabilities are best served by a collaborative team of skilled providers. Educators will explore the functional aspects of vision, hearing and motor skills in order to support the individual needs of students in an educational setting. Management of health care needs and strategies to deal with the implications of a health impaired child will be presented.
