Interdisciplinary Minor in Health Sciences

The following motion was recommended to the Dean on Dec. 6, 2004 by the full EPC and formally approved by the Dean on Jan. 20, 2005.

It is moved that the Health Sciences Minor at the Lynch School of Education be phased out, with the last class of major being those of the Class of 2007.

Appropriate faculty and staff from the Lynch School, including but not limited to the Department Chairs in Teacher Education/Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction and Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology should identify courses that are currently part of the minor and that may be especially relevant as electives in existing majors and clarify how these courses may align with, fit into, or can be adapted to the Human Development major.
