Kate Marshall Hall, who teaches business management and negotiation part-time in the management and organization department, sees her mission as twofold: "knowledge transference and knowledge creation."
"A good deal of learning occurs through the active engagement of my students as they integrate their personal experiences and insights to reflect upon, analyze, and challenge the course material in class discussions," says Hall, who praises her students for their sophisticated approach and their interest in making the world a better place.
In turn, they say she creates a "safe" classroom environment where they can speak easily and comfortably, and they cite the quality of the conversation as one of the best things about her classes.
"I'm regularly amazed at the unique perspectives my students contribute to furthering our understanding of the course material and its practical applications," Hall says.
