Why did you decide to major in math?
Once I started taking proofs-based classes at Boston College, I really knew that I loved math.
What do you like about math?
I like that math is always true. You start with a basic set of axioms and from there you draw conclusions logically. And if you do it right, your conclusions will be the truth regardless of context. Some mathematicians like to say that math isn't invented, it's discovered, and I definitely agree with this idea.
What do you hope to do after graduating?
I would like to go to graduate school, get a Ph.D. in math, and eventually work as a professor teaching and researching.
