Why did you decide to major in math?
Math seemed like a major that would open opportunities for me after graduation. There are very few jobs that aren't supplemented by a strong background in math, so it was an obvious choice and a great investment in my future.
What do you like about math?
I like math for its practical applications into other areas of life. Almost everything relies on math to some degree, even if it isn't obvious at first. I like being able to look at a seemingly unrelated topic and figure out the mathematics that may be involved.
What do you hope to do after graduating?
I plan to work either as an actuary in an insurance company or to do statistical analysis for research.
