Windows

Boston College has a campus agreement to upgrade Windows if you already own a version of Windows (for BC faculty, staff, and students).

Information Technology Services (ITS) highly recommends that you get assistance with upgrading your computer.

• Students: We can assist students who bring their upgrade CDs and laptops to the Walk-In Help Desk. We can also install free upgrades to Windows 7 Enterprise (similar to Windows 7 Professional edition), Windows Vista Enterprise (similar to Vista Business edition), or Windows XP Professional.
• Faculty and Staff: Talk to your TC about upgrading Windows on your BC-owned computer.

Mac OS

Information Technology Services (ITS) highly recommends that you get assistance with upgrading your computer.

• Students: You can purchase Mac OS upgrades at the BC Bookstore or online at the Apple Store. Students can bring their computer to the Walk-In Help Desk in O'Neill 248 next to the Campus Technology Resource Center (CTRC) to get assistance with upgrading.
• Faculty and Staff: Talk to your TC about upgrading Mac OS on your BC-owned computer.
