All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Microsoft Office is a suite of productivity software used widely in both educational and business environments. Microsoft Office includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Each version of Office also comes with email and calendaring software — Outlook for Windows and Entourage for Mac. 

If you would like to learn more about using Office, training is available on-line through Microsoft e-Learning.

Note: Microsoft no longer supports Office XP. ITS recommends you upgrade to the latest version.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X

Write papers, manage data, and create presentations using Microsoft Office 2008 on your Mac OS X computer. Please note that Visual Basic (VB) is not supported in this version of Office. This means that some functions that were available in earlier versions of Office for Mac are not available in Office 2008, such as the analysis tools in Excel. This download requires you to login with your BC username and password. After installing Office 2008, we recommend that you also install Office 2008 Update 12.2.3.

Write-N-Cite adds an abbreviated version of RefWorks in your word processor to display author, title, and year only. With this utility you can cite references in a manuscript with the click of a button. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.
