All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Microsoft Office is a suite of productivity software used widely in both educational and business environments. Microsoft Office includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (email and calendaring software).

Notes:

  • Office 2004 and Office 2003 are not compatible with newer versions and are not recommended at BC. Please upgrade to a more recent version below.
  • Microsoft no longer supports Office XP. ITS recommends you upgrade to the latest version.

 

Microsoft Office 2013 (32-bit) for Windows 8 and Windows 7

Note: Office 2013 is not fully supported by BC at this time. While most BC applications will not have problems, we cannot guarantee full compatibility.

Microsoft Office 2013 for Windows was commercially released in January 2013. All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Microsoft Office 2010 (32-bit) for Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, and XP

Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows was commercially released in June 2010. All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Note: Windows computers deployed through the BCCR Program have Office 2010 installed on them.

Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows 7, Vista, and XP

Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows was commercially released in January 2007. All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac OS X

Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac was officially released on October 26, 2010. All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Note: Mac computers deployed through the BCCR Program have Office 2011 installed on them.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac was commercially released in January 2008. Please note that Visual Basic (VB) is not supported in this version of Office. This means that some functions that were available in earlier versions of Office for Mac are not available in Office 2008, such as the analysis tools in Excel. After installing Office 2008, we recommend that you also install Office 2008 Update 12.2.3.

All BC students, faculty, and staff may install one copy of Office for personal use. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.

Write-N-Cite adds an abbreviated version of RefWorks in your word processor to display author, title, and year only. With this utility you can cite references in a manuscript with the click of a button. Do not duplicate or replicate downloaded software.
