summer session 2014
Tuition, Audit Charge and Registration Fee
The tuition per credit for summer 2014 is $714. Summer Session courses are three credits; for a three-credit course the tuition is $2142. A one-credit lab is $714, plus the $195 lab fee. Students who wish to audit a course (register for a course without academic credit) may often do so. The fee for auditing a three-credit course is $1071. The registration fee is $45.
Boston College reserves the right to change or withdraw offerings if necessary and alter fees and charges from those published, without prior notice.
All fees and tuition charges are due and payable in full by check at the time of registration. Checks should be made payable to Boston College.
Students whose tuition is paid by some form of tuition assistance must submit documentation with the registration form and pay all fees.
Housing fees are to be mailed directly to Residential Life.
Financial Aid Benefits
Many corporations offer tuition plans for their full-time employees; check employee benefits, tuition-aid assistance and release-time programs. Financial aid is distributed through the college in which a student is pursuing a degree. For Woods College students, available financial aid for summer study is limited and based on need.
Withdrawals and Refunds
To withdraw from a course, the student must complete a course withdrawal form in the Summer Session Office, McGuinn 100, or direct a letter of withdrawal to the Summer Session Office. Tuition and laboratory fees are refundable; the registration fee is non-refundable.
The refund schedule is 100% refund for all courses dropped on or before the second class meeting (for First Session, the week of May 13 to May 16; for Second Session, the week of June 23 to June 27). There are no refunds after these dates.
