Registration
summer session 2013
Registration is kept as easy as possible to make summer credit and non-credit courses accessible to a wide population. Although courses above the introductory level often have prerequisites, and some courses may be limited in enrollment, there is a place for virtually every learner at Boston College this summer.
A student must officially register in order to attend summer classes. Once registered, a student is academically and financially responsible for every course chosen.
The Office of Student Services releases certain personally identifiable information from a student’s registration without prior consent such as name, home address, telephone number, date and place of birth, photographs, field of study, dates of attendance and other similar information. To prevent release of such information a student need only submit a written nondisclosure request to the Office of Student Services.
Registration in summer courses establishes no priority with respect to admission to Boston College degree programs. A student seeking admission for a degree in one of the Boston College undergraduate colleges must apply directly for degree status.
* * ATTENTION BC DAY STUDENTS:
You must obtain written permission from your Dean (A&S, CSOM, LSOE, CSON) and/or Department by completing the Course Approval Form (found on the Student Services website). Once approval is received, you may register for summer courses at Student Services in Lyons Hall. Tuition will be charged directly to your student account.
Registration Procedure
Students may register in-person in McGuinn 100, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the first class day of each summer course. The mail-in registration form may be returned with payment to the Summer Session Office up to seven calendar days before the course begins.
