Please note: Family occupancy apartments are extremely limited and will be distributed in accordance to need by STM. Family occupancy is designed for Summer Institute students with children. STM participants planning on bringing family members must indicate this on their application and register for an entire two bedroom apartment. Family apartments are only available with space availability due to space restrictions.  Please contact the Summer Housing office directly at summer.housing@bc.edu if you are considering bringing your family.

Basic linen service will be provided for each participant upon their arrival. This includes a supply bag that contains linens, towels, and a roll of toilet paper. Trash barrels with three liners will also be provided for the suite. There will be no linen exchange. There is a $15.50 charge for each set of linens provided.  If you do not wish to have the basic linen service, please indicate this in the comments section of your housing application; otherwise you will receive and be charged for the basic linen service.

Is parking available?

Boston College has a pay parking system. All people using parking at Boston College are required to pay.  There is an hourly parking option for $3.00 per hour with a maximum of $25.00 per day and Summer Institute students also have the option of purchasing weekly parking permits for $30.00 per week for Summer 2013.

Students who would like to obtain a parking permit may choose to complete the parking permit application in advance and mail the completed application to:

Maura Colleary
Boston College STM
140 Commonwealth Avenue
Chestnut Hill, MA 02467-3800

Parking permit applications must be received by the Monday prior to the start of each session (June 17 for Session I, July 1 for Session II, July 15 for Session III).  Students who take advantage of this option will have their Student Accounts billed for the permit fee and can pick up their permit in the lobby of 9 Lake Street on the first day of the session.  Students who do not mail in the application by the Monday prior to the start of the session may bring their completed application to Student Services in Lyons Hall on the first day of class to obtain a parking permit.

Students checking into Summer Institute Housing on the day prior to the start of each session will be given a pass to park until the next afternoon. Students driving to campus for class on the first day of each session will also be given a day pass for that day only. In order to continue to park on campus, you must purchase your permit at Student Services by the end of that day or pay to park on a daily basis.

More Summer Institute parking information, the rates for day and weekend parking, and the application for weekly permits can be obtained at Summer Parking (www.bc.edu/offices/transportation) in April 2013.
