Summer study draws people from all over the world; some are here for the entire six weeks, others come for only one week. An atmosphere of renewal and revitalization pervades. The academic work is stimulating and challenging, and summer students benefit from a great variety of on-campus activities, liturgies, and seminars in the context of the Boston College campus. Students can either take one class, or can complete our M.A. in Pastoral Ministry or an M.Ed. in Religious Education through the Summer Institute.

During the six week Summer Session, STM faculty are joined by leading U.S. and international theologians to provide a rich array of courses covering a wide variety of theological and ministerial topics. You can also enjoy the intrigue of historic Boston and the scenic New England seashore. There are evenings with the Boston Pops on the Charles River, dinners at famous Boston landmarks, trips to quaint seaport towns, and many other exciting opportunities to experience picturesque New England.
