Director and Lower 48 Area Directors

JESUIT VOLUNTEER CORPS(JVC) NORTHWEST is hiring an Alaska Area Director and Lower 48 Area Directors to begin in late June/early July, 2013.  The full-time positions based in Portland, OR, are highly collaborative and involve significant travel. The Area Director supports and challenges 20-27 full-time Jesuit Volunteers/AmeriCorps members living in intentional communities and serving with people who are marginalized in society. The AD positions will support communities in the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The position requires at least one year post-graduate experience in social activism, pastoral ministry and/or counseling, spiritual growth development, community building, retreat planning and work with diverse peoples.  Organizational skills are important. Former Jesuit Volunteers preferred. Salary in mid-high twenties, generous benefit package.
