PASTORAL CARE COORDINATOR

Saint Paul Parish in Hingham, a parish of twenty-five hundred families, seeks a part-time (twenty hours/week) Pastoral Care Coordinator to support its sick, elderly, and other parishioners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, visiting these parishioners, scheduling, training, and providing support for pastoral volunteers to do the same, leading monthly communion services at two local nursing homes, coordinating an annual Mass for the Anointing of the Sick and luncheon in the spring, Remembrance Mass for the deceased in the fall, and collaborating with the Pastor and Pastoral Associate on various outreach projects throughout the year. The position entails significant administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate is deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition and enthusiastic about sharing his/her love of the Eucharist with others. He/she has excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, some theological background, the capacity to collaborate effectively with staff and parishioners on outreach projects. Salary and benefits are commensurate with responsibilities, experience, and education.
