Holy Trinity Catholic Church is looking for a Pastoral Associate that will supervise all members of the Liturgy and Music staff. The Pastoral Associate for Liturgy will be:

Responsible for providing an aesthetically pleasing, liturgically and seasonally appropriate worship environment that fosters the parish’s liturgical life.

Responsible for the liturgical music of the parish for all liturgies.

Oversee choirs, cantors and musicians for all masses.

Develop annual music programs and goals.

Responsible for preparing and recommending an annual budget for parish’s worship and music.

Consult and collaborate with the priests of the Parish on liturgical matters with parish staff, Pastoral Associate for Religious Education, Faith Formation, Pastoral Associate for Prayer and Ignatian Spirituality.

Work directly with the Worship Committee and parish groups who share responsibility for the parish’s liturgical life.

Advise, teach and be receptive to advice and reasonable recommendations.

Coordinate scheduling of all liturgical events and presiders, keeping an annual Parish Liturgy Calendar updated regularly.

Responsible for recruitment, training, formation and scheduling of all liturgical ministers.

Assist the pastor and other pastoral staff in catechizing parishioners on liturgical matters.

Become informed on developments in sacramental theology, canon law, liturgical practice, diocesan policies and guidelines.

Develop, update, and communicate local parish liturgical guidelines and policies, including parish events.

Cultivate friendly relationships with parishioners and participate in appropriate spiritual and professional formation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a practicing Roman Catholic. Have an understanding and appreciation of the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition and commitment to the implementation of the liturgical reforms of Vatican II. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with others. Strong writing and listening skills and computer literacy a must! Appropriate education and professional experience. Must be able to attend evening meetings and appointments as required. Weekend work is required and one full day off during the week.
