DESCRIPTION:

CATHOLIC PARISH YOUTH/YOUNG ADULT MINISTER to build a vibrant active, comprehensive Youth/Young Adult ministry program uniting three multicultural neighboring Catholic parishes near the downtown Atlanta, GA metro area. This is an excellent career opportunity to build on previously acquired Youth/Youth Ministry education and parish exposure on a full-time basis while gaining professional development experience in the following areas:

• Multi-parish (3) collaboration Youth/Young Adult Ministry oriented projects
• Community outreach/engagement
• Leadership and team building
• Volunteer recruitment and coordination
• Youth/Young Adult engagement and development
• Faith based youth/young adult and family oriented project management skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate is a faith-filled, dynamic person with the ability to develop leadership, understand youth and youth culture, recruit, train, and retain volunteers, will have a good understanding of Catholic ministry to both teens and young adults, and will have the ability to relate well with both youth and their parents. Expertise in the use of technology, including social media in ministry is required. A master’s degree would be ideal. Practicing Roman Catholic and previous experience working in a multicultural environment are essential.
