Summary of Essential Job Duties:
|
- Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Campus Ministry, this campus minister will be responsible for a number of local and international service projects. This position will regularly collaborate with members of the team in planning and programing, always working to integrate an Ignatian spirituality and practice of service.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate regular service opportunities for Christian Life Community (CLC) students at local service sites.
- Implement three of the yearly faith-based Ignacio Companion (IC) international service immersion trips in collaboration with the Coordinator of the IC Programs. He/she will be responsible for participating in at least one IC trip per year.
- Coordinate, manage and lead “special request” De Colores service/immersion trips to Tijuana, Mexico — approximately 6 weekends per year.
- Articulate and work to integrate social justice learning outcomes in campus ministry programs in line with the strategic plan.
- Further collaboration with local and national SJ, RSHM and CSJ faith and justice ministries by developing and expanding programs that highlight their priorities.
- Expand opportunities and programs for students to “engage the most pressing issues facing our city and the world at large.” These programs will encourage “study, research, creative work, and active engagement” in order to prepare students to become “engaged participants and leaders in their communities and the world.”
- Provide appropriate ongoing pastoral support for all students as needed.
- Participate as an active member of the Campus Ministry team and university worshipping community.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Experience:
|
- Minimum 3-5 years of campus ministry experience preferably in a university setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Ignatian Spirituality and current approaches to young adult faith and leadership formation
- Highly developed organizational and leadership skills
- Understanding of and proven experience in team ministry
- Exemplary communication skills — both written and oral
- Strong active listening and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in the development and evaluation of programs
- Experience in the articulation and application of learning outcomes
- Experience in international service/immersion
- Clear desire for continuing formation.
- Conversational Spanish preferable
- Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable in all Microsoft office.

Required Education:
|
- Typically a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Theology or Pastoral Counseling or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
