About the School of Ministry

Serving a rapidly growing Catholic population of over two million people in the dioceses of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Tyler, the School of Ministry seeks to equip its students with the critical skills needed for theological reflection in a contemporary context of Catholic tradition, as well as the pastoral skills necessary for service in the Church.  SOM students receive the education and formation that is necessary for personal growth, professional ministry and transformative service to the Church, the broader Christian community, and the wider world. The SOM is among the more comprehensive schools of ministry in the country. In addition to its undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and its ministry conference, it offers certificates, seminars, online offerings, lectures, and continuing education.
