Boston Theological Institute
The Boston Theological Institute (BTI) welcomes applications for its position of Executive Director to lead a consortium of ten theological and divinity schools, seminaries, and a rabbinical school in the greater Boston area.
Building on 45 years of inter-school collaboration, the BTI is seeking an experienced administrative leader and catalyst who will advance the work of the individual schools, their cooperation in course offerings and library holdings, and their occasional joint programmatic initiatives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· the ability to discover and communicate the unique strengths of diverse schools within an academic network
· previous experience in academic settings and familiarity with graduate theological education
· strong administrative, communication and online skills
· an ability to network within and among diverse institutions and advance inter-school collaboration by strengthening teaching and learning in member schools, including:
o a commitment to advancing ecumenical and interreligious learning
o a passion for engaging in efforts to build an interreligious community
o an orientation toward advancing the mission of the BTI.
