C21 Online WebSearches

AVAILABLE 24/7

What is a WebSearch?

A WebSearch is a resource designed to assist the seeker in reflection on a question. In it, the seeker is guided to certain web sites and pointed to specific content to support their reflection process. These C21 Online WebSearches can each be completed in an hour or less.  This WebSearch may be used by itself or as a segment of a larger learning experience.

Each WebSearch is also designed to help the user learn how to evaluate a resource found on the Internet. A variety of criteria for evaluation of a web site are introduced in different WebSearches. The Boston College libraries offer an overview of evaluation of a web site.

C21 Online WebSearches are based on the model of WebQuest, first designed at San Diego State University. WebQuests are now used in classroom-based experiences from elementary through senior high school in numerous subject areas. C21 Online's WebSearches adopt a similar model for adult and senior high on-going faith formation.
