Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (M.A.P.M.)—Summer Only
The M.A.P.M. is a 35-credit degree program completed over five summers. For students with flexible summers, such as teachers, the M.A.P.M. is great way to earn a graduate degree that prepares pastoral ministers for service in the church. Upon graduation, students can engage in various ministries including chaplaincy, as pastoral associates, youth ministry, and as religious educators and high school religion teachers. The M.A.P.M. has the option for the Hispanic Ministry Track, which prepares students to work with Hispanic populations in ministry settings.

Certificate Programs
Pastoral Ministry Certificate - The 18-credit Pastoral Ministry Certificate is perfect for students who desire an introduction to pastoral ministry, but who do not wish to commit to a full degree program. Its flexibility also makes it ideal for students who have completed a theology or ministry masters degree, but want the opportunity to focus their studies within a specific area of pastoral ministry. For students who want to work in parish ministry, the certificate offers valuable theological grounding and integrative projects which will aid them in their ministry.
Post-Masters Certificate in Spiritual Formation - Designed for students who already have a masters degree in a theological area, the Post-Masters Certificate in Spiritual Formation is designed to respond to the needs of current ministers. For students interested in spiritual formation work within current or future ministerial endeavors, this certificate provides a more specialized focus in that area. Building off their own strong theological foundations, students are engaged in an intensive program that includes hands-on skills, practice, and professional feedback. This enables ministers to return to their respective fields more confident in their skills and strengthened in their ability to meet the needs of those they minister to.
Hispanic Ministry Certificate - The Hispanic Ministry Certificate prepares students to respond to the needs of an increasingly diverse Church. The 18-credit program integrates theological and ministerial coursework with a supervised education placement to strengthen students’ ability to minister to the Hispanic community. Like the Pastoral Ministry Certificate, this program can augment previous graduate theological study, or provide a concentrated focus of study for students who do not want to commit to a degree program. This certificate is ideal for both practitioners as well as students interested in working with Hispanic communities throughout the United States.
