- The M.Div. is a three-year degree program intended for those seeking the comprehensive theological, pastoral, and spiritual formation needed for ordained ministry or professional lay ecclesial ministry.
Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry (M.A.T.M.)
- The M.A. in Theology and Ministry is a flexible and multifaceted program that prepares ministers either as generalists or for a particular ministry.
- Students have the option of pursuing the Standard Track, the Religious Education Track, or the Hispanic Ministry Track within the degree program.
- In collaboration with other BC professional schools, the M.A. Theology and Ministry can be combined with an M.S.W., M.B.A., M.A. Mental Health Counseling, and M.S. Nursing
Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (M.A.P.M.) - Summer Only
- The M.A. in Pastoral Ministry is a summer only program that prepares ministers either as generalists or for a particular ministry.
- In collaboration with other BC professional schools, the M.A. Pastoral Ministry can be combined with an M.S.W., M.B.A., M.A. Mental Health Counseling, and M.S. Nursing
Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.)
- The M.T.S. is a two-year degree (48 credits) that provides a thorough understanding of theological disciplines.
Doctor of Philosophy, Theology and Education (Ph.D.)
- The Ph.D. focuses on the interdisciplinary study of theology and education.
- The Th.M. is a one-year, post-master's degree (24 credits) that is intended to deepen and focus a student’s foundational knowledge of theological disciplines and ministerial practice.
Certificate of Advanced Educational Specialization, Religious Education (C.A.E.S.)
- The C.A.E.S. is a two-year (36 credits in the academic year; 30 credits in summers) post-master’s degree with a major in religious education.
Canonical Degrees
Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.)
- A three-year post B.A./B.S. program. The degree of the first-cycle of ecclesiastical studies.
Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.)
- A two-year program. The degree of the second cycle of ecclesiastical studies.
Doctor of Sacred Theology (S.T.D.)
- The final degree in the ecclesiastical degree system of the Catholic Church.
Summer Institute
- The Summer Institute brings together leading U.S. and international theologians to provide a rich array of learning opportunities in conversation with liturgies, seminars, and off-campus activities.
