Workshop 1

EXAMINATION OF THE SHOULDER AND KNEE

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a brief overview of the shoulder and knee anatomy, discuss common injuries in both the athletic and general population. Physical examination techniques will be reviewed including special tests. Treatment options and rehabilitation protocols will be discussed.

 

Workshop 2

PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGY - TOOLS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

Rashes and skin lesions can be a challenge for the inexperienced as well as the seasoned provider. In this session, we will be looking at a number of skin conditions that are common, and not so common, in children and discuss clues for diagnosis and approaches for treatment. Office- based treatment and testing such as cryotherapy, skin scrapings,and simple biopsies will be demonstrated.

 

Workshop 3

CODING
Roslyn Lawrence, MSN, APRN


Coding can be challenging for even the most up-to-date clinician. It is imperative though that your time and skill-set is properly reimbursed. This talk will help to highlight the basic techniques for what is needed when coding a patient encounter. We will then delve into more individual cases, with both in and out patient arenas being addressed.
