Dean Susan Gennaro shared her personal and professional experiences with the Women’s Collaborative during their January meeting.

The Women’s Collaborative is a network of women sharing experiences and resources, career and family concerns, and a desire for a collective voice in the BC community. Their mission is to facilitate the participation of women in the University social and political environment and create additional opportunities for women on campus. 

Dean Gennaro described her professional journey from an undergrad English major to the Dean of the Nursing School at Boston College and the many turns her career took along the way. She also answered questions about what it is like to be the only female dean at BC, her favorite and least favorite parts of being a dean, and how to be a successful women in any professional environment, especially one that is mostly male.
