33 master's entry students were honored on Sunday, February 13th as the newest additions to the nursing profession. Each student was given a pin, presented to them by a family member or a friend, to symbolize their new role as a Registered Nurse and their continued education at in the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College.
The master's entry program prepares students with baccalaureate degree or higher in non-nursing fields for advanced practice nursing. The pinning ritual, which was held at Boston College, was the culmination of the master's entry students completing their first year in the program and passing their nursing exam. Sunday's festivities mark their ceremonial entry into the nursing profession.
