Dean’s reception for peer leaders
connell school news
Peer leaders in the nursing professional development seminar gathered at Dean Gennaro’s house for the culmination of their program. Throughout the semester, peer leaders met for one hour a week with groups of eight Connell School freshmen to help ease their transition to college and build a stronger nursing program community.
Peer leaders were given a chance to talk about their experience and trade notes on the types of ‘out of the box’ activities that had positive results. They were also given a certificate of recognition for their involvement in the program and the hours that they volunteered to make it a success.
Susan Gennaro, dean and professor, Catherine Read, associate dean for the undergraduate program, associate professor, and director of the KILN program, and Catherine Walker ’11, graduate assistant and FNP student, were on hand to wish the students well.
