Strengthening international relationships
connell school news
As part of an ongoing relationship with the Connell School of Nursing, officials from Switzerland’s University of Applied Sciences visited Boston College to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.
The agreement that was signed by Cutberto Garza, provost and dean of faculties at Boston College, and Anne-Catherine Lyon, state councilor/minister for education, youth, and culture, Vaud canton, formalized cooperation in academic exchanges, program development, and research while establishing official guiding terms and principles of collaboration between the two institutions.
The relationship between the Connell School of Nursing and Switzerland’s University of Applied Sciences started as a partnership supported by faculty, staff, and students on both sides. In February 2010, Swiss healthcare and education leaders came to Boston College to discuss the need for international experiences in nursing. In summer 2010, CSON students studied in Switzerland alongside students from Singapore and India.
