Assistant Professor Lichuan Ye was named the second Haley Nurse Scientist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) Department of Nursing. With this honor, Ye will continue her work, Research Inquiries from Practice: A Journey of Exploration in the Sleep Disorders and will advise BWH nurses on research projects.
The Haley Nurse Scientist program helped build a partnership between the Connell School of Nursing and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital around the shared commitment to lead clinical nursing research and to mentor clinical nurses in scholarly work. It was designed to advance the holistic care of patients and families by promoting scholarship, advancing the development and translation of nursing science through research and innovation, and creating opportunities for clinical nurses to grow and develop their practice. The program was established by Steven and Kathleen (Powers) Haley ‘76.
Assistant Professor Katherine Gregory will continue her role as the first Haley Nurse Scientist. She works with clinical nurses, overseeing their research, including a study controlling the temperature of late preterm infants. Read more »
