Connell School Associate Professor Rosanna DeMarco was named to the editorial board of the international journal Treatment Strategies - AIDS.
A publication of the Cambridge Research Centre in the United Kingdom, Treatment Strategies - AIDS is a peer-reviewed journal comprising of a series of articles aiming to inform and educate clinicians and researchers. The articles are written by key opinion leaders, leading doctors and leading authorities in the field.
DeMarco was invited to be part of the editorial board that includes experts from schools of public health, global health initiatives and epidemiologists across the United States and international settings including Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, and Bolivia.
DeMarco's work is focused on women, marginalization, and health behaviors including women living with HIV/AIDS and nurses in the workplace. Her research seeks to advance health policy using her model of collaborative community-based knowledge. She is the co-producer of the film Women's Voices Women's Lives, which she uses in her intervention research. The film is used by AIDS service organizations across the US and has been translated into Spanish and Vietnamese.
