Aruda elected chair of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Content Expert Panel

Assistant Professor Mary Aruda as chair of the Pediatric Nurse
Practitioner Content Expert Panel.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) recently appointed Assistant Professor Mary Aruda as chair of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Content Expert Panel. Her main responsibility will be assisting with the development of the national Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification exam.
The ANCC, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, provides individuals and organizations with resources to achieve practice excellence, including internationally renowned credentialing programs to certify nurses in specialty practice areas.
Aruda, whose research interests include health promotion, adolescent health, adolescent pregnancy prevention, and children with special health care needs, will serve as chair until July of 2011.
